Even though it is 100 degrees outside, it is time to start thinking about fall fashion. My September issue of Vogue came in the mail last week, and all of my favorite stores are getting in new fall clothes. I’ve been noticing a few trends that keep popping up, so I have decided to round them all up and share my top picks for each trend with all of y’all!
It is looking like red is going to be the color of the season (we still love you mustard!) This color was all over the runway, and it is in all of the magazines. I typically wear a lot of red in the fall anyway, thanks to football season (go hogs!), but I have a feeling I will be wearing it much more than just on Saturdays this year.
Fun sleeves are everywhere right now, and I’m loving it! Bell sleeves, ruffle sleeves, puffy sleeves, and flouncy sleeves are everywhere for fall. I am a sucker for any kind of fun sleeve, so I am living for this trend. I think tops and sweaters with these sleeve details are so cute, and I have quite a few on my wish list for fall.
This is one of my personal favorite trends! Riley and I are both obsessed with anything star printed! Lately it seems like if it has stars, it ends up in my cart. At the moment, I have my eyes on this pair of star boots. They look so expensive, but are so affordable.
The velvet trend was really big last fall/winter, and it is back again! Velvet, but more specifically, crushed velvet is looking like it is going to be extremely popular this season. I have been seeing a ton of velvet dresses, tops, shoes, bags, and even pants in the ‘new arrivals’ section of my favorite online stores.
This trend is amazing for those of us living in the south. It is usually very hard to follow all of the fall trends, while not melting in the heat. I bought the top in the pictures in July, but I have a feeling I will be wearing it a ton in the upcoming months.
Graphic tees, specifically those with words, are definitely popular for fall. Riley recently picked up this one, and has been wearing it nonstop. These are perfect for any outfit. You can throw them on with a skirt, or you can rock them with leggings for class. Right now I am eyeing this sweatshirt. (and this one too)
