My Favorite Hair Products

I have always been fascinated with hair products. I am always so hopeful that a new shampoo, conditioner, or other product is magically going to make me have Victoria’s Secret model hair. Today, I thought I could share some of my favorite hair products that I have tried, so that maybe y’all won’t waste as much time as I have trying not-so-good products.

In the Shower:

Big Shampoo:

This shampoo is a total game changer. I have a very oily scalp, but the ends of my hair are super dry. So the top of my head gets greasy, but the bottom is frizzy. This shampoo really gets my hair clean, and when I use it, my hair doesn’t get greasy as fast. It also makes my hair so shiny and soft, and it adds a ton of volume. This shampoo isn’t supposed to be used everyday because it can dry out your hair, but if your hair is super oily like mine it shouldn’t be a problem. I do switch around my shampoos a lot so I don’t use this one everyday, but it is my go-to when I want my hair to look extra good. A great thing about this shampoo is that it lasts forever! I bought the one I am using now in September and its still going strong. I also love this shampoo and this shampoo.

 American Cream Conditioner:

This conditioner has been my #1 go-to for over a year now. It makes my hair so soft, and it smells amazing. The scent stays in your hair for so long. I can go a few days without washing my hair, and the scent will still be as strong as when I first got out of the shower. I’ve noticed that most of my better hair days happen when I use a combo of Big and American Cream.

After the Shower:

Quai Hair Oil:

Not going to lie, the thought of putting oil into my hair was terrifying, but I had heard such amazing things about this oil that I had to try it. First off, it smells amazing. This might be so dumb, but I  love when hair products smell really good. I can definitely tell a difference when I use this. I use one pump on my hair right when I get out of the shower, and it makes my hair silky, smooth, and shiny. This is always my go-to if I am going to blow dry my hair. On the bottle, it says you can put this in your hair once it is dry, but I have not been brave enough to try yet.

Mr. Incredible:

This is my favorite leave-in conditioner at the moment. I always notice that after I use this, my hair just looks better after I style it. It makes it soft and shiny, without making it greasy. I also find that it makes my hair really bouncy (is that weird to say? idk) and that my curls stay longer when I use this.

Curling Wand:

Y’all. I have had this curling iron for almost 8 years. That seems so crazy to me. It is honestly a really good curling iron for the price (and it obviously lasts forever). I really want to try a T3 but I am having a hard time justifying it when this one is so good and so cheap.

After Styling:

Triple Sec:

If y’all can’t tell, I am obsessed with Drybar. They make incredible products. I haven’t tried anything from them that I’m not completely obsessed with.  This is the best for getting volume in your hair. I spray it mainly in my roots (and a little all over) after I finish curling my hair. If you want lots of volume and texture, you have to try this.

Chaser Shine Cream:

Another Drybar pick (sorry). This is another miracle product for me. I put the tiniest amount of this in my hair after I am done styling it. It instantly just makes your hair look like instantly 100x better. I don’t even know how to explain it. Just trust me and order it. You will thank me later. I promise.

While I’m Asleep:

This might be weird, but after seeing so many people talk about them, I bought some silk pillowcases. They are supposed to be so good for your hair and skin, and they are. I love my silk pillowcases. Not only are they amazing for your skin and hair, but they are also a lot cooler than normal pillowcases. Nice hair and always sleeping on the cool side of the pillow? Sign me up!

The Next Day:

Detox Dry Shampoo:

I know we have already talked about this on here, but I couldn’t not mention it. This dry shampoo is the best hands down. I have tried a few other dry shampoos and nothing comes close to touching this one. A lot of dry shampoos leave my hair feeling gross and powdery, but after I use this one my hair just feels clean. It is a miracle in a can. Plus, it smells incredible. I use this so much because I don’t always have time, (or want to) wash my hair, and as I mentioned before I get greasy real fast. #greasygirlprobs Pro tip: put on your dry shampoo the night before and don’t rub it in. Just spray all over your head and don’t touch it. Go to sleep like that, and when you wake up rub in what is left. This way the dry shampoo will absorb all of the oil while you are sleeping.

Drybar also makes a dry conditioner for the ends of your hair. Sometimes the ends of my hair get really dry if it has been a while since I washed my hair. This is perfect for those days. It does everything a conditioner does, but dry.

Thank y’all for reading!

xoxo, Breana
